"Two Heads" by Karl Hofer, German, (1878-1955) PastelDrypoint, ca. 1927, Ed. 278, R. 55, 9 1 8 x 7, signed, titled & numbered in pencil, on thin cream wove paper measuring 12 7 16 x 9 3 4, tape stain to bottom corners verso only, slightest toning to mat opening, the artist's inky fingerprint to left margin at center edge, impression and margins recto fine. A spare and forceful drypoint by Hofer.
being sentimental I own my own impression of this print
unknown but probably small
and had a large collection of their music in his Connecticut studio
