The gyro in this model is electrically powered, as opposed to those designs which were pneumatically powered (i. e., via suction), thus reducing the potential risk to reliability arising from a vacuum system (i. e., leaks). The indicator is in very good condition given its age. The glass is intact, as is the banking indicator (fluid is
